← Wellbeing Recap

Privacy

Short version: your file is read inside your browser and never sent anywhere. There's no account, no server that sees your data and no cookies. We only count visits, anonymously.

What happens to your file

When you drop in your Garmin export ZIP or Activities CSV, this page opens it on your own device. It reads only what the recap needs: activity summaries, daily stats, sleep and fitness age. Raw GPS files inside the ZIP are skipped. The numbers stay in your browser's memory and are gone when you close or reload the tab.

What we don't do

Check it yourself

You don't have to take our word for it. This page tells your browser that it may not connect anywhere at all (a Content-Security-Policy with connect-src 'none'). Open your browser's developer tools, go to the Network tab, drop in your file, and you'll see that nothing leaves the page.

Visit counter

To know whether anyone uses this, the start page counts visits with GoatCounter, an open-source counter that uses no cookies and doesn't identify people. One tiny image request per visit sends the page address and the site you came from (for example LinkedIn). It never includes anything from your file. If your browser sends "Do Not Track" or "Global Privacy Control", nothing is counted.

What your browser keeps

Only your units (metric or imperial) and language choices, saved in your browser's local storage so you don't have to pick it again. You can clear it with your browser's site data settings.

Hosting

The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub may log basic request data (such as IP addresses) to run and secure the service. That never includes your file. See GitHub's privacy statement for details.

Not medical advice

Insights are for fun and motivation. They aren't medical advice. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Garmin.
